Welcome –Henry Klassen, Chair, Nechako Watershed Council                              

Decision: NWC accepts the minutes of NWC meeting August 11, 12 & 13, 2000 as presented. 

Decision:  NWC accepts the Report for Constituents of the June 23 & 24, 2000 meeting with changes. 

Action:  NWC will send a letter to Donna Mitchell of Western Diversification requesting a meeting to discuss funding options. 

Action:  Joan Chess will look for a general map of the area for the Terms of Reference Appendix  ‘B’. 

Decision:  NWC accepts the Report on Revenue and Expenditures for 6 months ending September 30, 2000 as presented. 

Decision: The NWC accepts the Ecology Circle of Prince George as a new member.  Huub Ledderhof signed the Terms of Reference and will be their representative. 

Decision:  The NWC accepts The Strategy to obtain Federal Support for a Water Release Facility as presented by Alcan and Cheslatta. 

Action:  The Coordinating Committee will look into who may benefit from the revenue produced by power generation at a possible Water Release Facility at Kenney Dam. 

Action:  Richard Prokopanko will draft a letter to the NEEFMC to ask for a meeting at their earliest convenience to update them on the work of Glen Davidson, MELP with the Council. 

Action:  Joan Chess will summarize comments made on briefing note on the Future of the NWC to be added to the report to NEEFMC. 

Action: There will be further discussion on the briefing note about Non-Flow Issues at the next meeting.  

Decision:  The next meeting dates for the Nechako Watershed Council are:   

            October 20, 21, 22, 2000 -Smithers

                                    November – Burns Lake Area
