–Henry Klassen, Chair, Nechako Watershed Council Decision:
NWC accepts the minutes of NWC April 7, 2000 meeting as presented. Action:
Wally Eamer will have an expert on the Water Act come to a NWC meeting to
explain how Alcan’s Water license is not part of the Water Act. Decision:
Nechako Watershed Council Interim Statement of Revenue and Expenditures
for 12 months ended March 31, 2000 is accepted as presented. Decision:
Cold Water Release Facility Sub-Committee Report will be tabled until the
next meeting due to the absence of Trafford Hall. Decision:
NWC accepts the process described in the document titled Nechako Watershed
Council working Session on Nechako Flow regimes as a starting point for the work
need on this subject. Decision:
NWC will complete the action items for the Public awareness and support
project. Action:
Joan Chess will write a preface to the Issues Records stating that it is
a “living document”. Decision:
The next meeting dates for the Nechako Watershed Council are:
June 23 & 24, 2000 –Vanderhoof
August 11 & 12, 2000-Kitimat
September 29 & 30- TBA
